Mom-tographer Beginners Workshop

Do you have a digital DSLR camera and want to know how to take amazing pictures of your kids?  Do you want to learn how to switch out of the auto modes?  Do you ever wonder how to get that beautiful blurry background in your pictures? What is aperture, shutter speed and ISO?   The Momtographer Workshop is for you!  This class is designed for moms (or dads, grandparents, aunts or uncles, even teenagers!) who want to take better photos of the special kiddos in their lives.

After you have mastered the basics of your camera in manual mode - that's right manual mode - we will then move to photographing both indoors and outdoors.  You will learn how to stop getting blurry photos, how to get accurate color results, get tack sharp focus, proper exposure, and how to take advantage of natural light.

March 1, 2014 2:00-5:00 pm

Workshop Fee is $125 and will include a booklet full of useful information to refer back to and take notes in. The workshop is limited to ten seats and will last about three hours.  You will also have access to a private Facebook support group where participants can share their work and get critiques for continuing education on how to improve your photography skills.

*This is not a class designed for pre-professional photographers looking to begin a business, this is only for people who want to learn how to shoot in manual for personal photography.

Learn how to properly expose your camera to capture your kids playing sports whether in a dimly lit gym or in the bright sunshine.

Learn how to get more creative in your photo taking and take your photos to a whole new level and stop missing those wonderful moments of childhood because you haven't out-smarted your camera yet!  Make sure you bring along your cameras manual - if you don't know where yours is, you can usually find a PDF download on line.  Your camera manual is a requirement for this class as all cameras are different!

Capture your kids doing what they love.......

Because childhood goes by all too quickly....

Hi Heather, I am Michelle Cockerham's sister, Cyndi Sain. I see you offer classes once in a while. Any chance you will be offering a class for beginners this summer? If so, could you message me on Facebook and let me know? I have been looking for a local class and I have long admired your work that I have seen of my nieces over the years. Your photos are magnificent and I'd love to learn more about my camera. Thanks so much.
